Cast: Sreenivas, Samantha, Prakash Raj, BrahmanandamDirection: V V VinayakGenre: ActionDuration: 2 hours 31 minutes
Seenu (Sreenivas) is a happy-go-lucky boy, who cons almost everyone in his town to lead a carefree life. One day, he decides to flee to Chennai, along with his uncle Narasimha (Prakash Raj); however, the duo end up in Hyderabad. Soon, Seenu discovers that a mafia kingpin, Bhai (also played by Prakash Raj) looks exactly like his uncle and co-incidentally, he falls in love with Bhai's daughter Anjali (Samantha). The rest of the story is about how Seenu wins Anjali's heart and avenge the injustice done to his uncle.
Movie Review: VV Vinayak returns to his familiar territory with Alludu Seenu sans the usual verve that's seen in his movies. Yes, there's Brahmanandam, Prakash Raj, Ravi Babu, Vennela Kishore and a host of other reliable actors to save the day in the end, but the film's lacklustre plot leaves a lot to be a desired. Coincidentally or not, Alludu Seenu feels like Rajakumarudu meets Naayak and a million other films. In fact, Ben Affleck's Argo isn't spared either from this never ending list of 'influences'. It is a million dollar question how a film, which had enough resources and brains onboard, could feel so insipid and sluggish.
The film is about Seenu (Sreenivas) who lives a carefree life and is too smart for his own good. One day, he decides to flee from his hometown and ends up in Hyderabad, along with his uncle Narasimha (Prakash Raj).
