A cab driver goes on a killing spree in Hyderabad, which sends shock waves across the city. DCP Gautham tries his best to nab the criminal, but he doesn't make any progress. Finally, Sailaja, a psychiatrist, comes forward to help him solve the mystery behind the serial killings.
Movie Review : Anukshanam is a watered down version of everything you expect from a slasher film, which explores the mind of a serial killer. It's also incredibly loud and monotonous in its approach; however, a gripping screenplay and short runtime saves it from being downright silly.
The film begins with an introduction to some of the most popular serial killers in the world and how such people exist in India as well. Soon, the story opens in Hyderabad, where a cab driver goes on a killing spree without any motive. He always targets women and takes great pleasure in killing them. Meanwhile, DCP Gautham (Vishnu Manchu) tries his best to solve the mystery behind the serial killings; however, he doesn't make any progress. Finally, a psychiatrist, Sailaja (Revathi) comes forward to help him and the rest of the story is about how Gautham nabs the serial killer.
The plot of the film is simple and RGV packs a punch in terms of depicting graphic content.
