| |
Provides security technical support to IT teams working on the development and integration of business and IT systems and applications.
• Provides selection criteria and expertise for the selection of information security products and services.
• Interprets information security policies, standards, and other requirements as they relate to specific internal and externally hosted IT systems, and assists or oversees the implementation of information security requirements.
• Participates in the security operations process and security policy and standards improvements.
• Provides technical assistance and requirements to IT staff related with the design, installation and maintenance of systems that support information security focuses on firewall, application and URL filtering solutions.
• Acts as a liaison for the internal or external parties performing security monitoring, and is an initial point of security event escalation within the organization.
• Acts as the technical support liaison in charge of distributing and ensuring the proper updates to anti-virus systems, intrusion detection systems (IDSs), firewalls, and other deployed security systems.
• Supports security requirements and best practices for both client corporate IT towers (network, data center, and end user computing) as well as Luminant-specific technologies.
• Executes appropriate software/hardware tools/packages to identify and detect vulnerabilities, needed configuration or patch updates, and unauthorized software or network equipment.
• Serves as an active member on incident response teams and participates in security incident response efforts by having an in-depth knowledge of common security exploits, vulnerabilities and countermeasures. Acts as a technical consultant on information security incident investigations and forensic technical analyses.
