The IT Project Manager, manages all aspects of moderately complex medium to large scale Information Technology projects that span two or more organizational boundaries. Responsible for initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing multiple medium and/or large information technology (IT) projects that address the operational needs of multiple departments in order to deliver specified requirements, meet customer satisfaction, on time, within budget, and with quality results. The position ensures appropriate management, customer, and supplier involvement throughout the life of the project. The IT Project Manager is administratively responsible to their manager, associate director, or director and is accountable to the project sponsor and project steering team for completing the project on schedule, within budget, and the agreed upon scope and quality.
The IT Project Manager manages the resources, human or otherwise, necessary to accomplish the approved Information Technology project strategy on behalf of the project sponsor and customer.
This includes initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing the EPIC project, to deliver solutions on schedule, within budget and with quality results that address the business and/or operational needs of the departments.
