The Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) is open to political understanding with like-minded parties and also for alliances at the time of elections, party president Chiranjeevi said here on Wednesday.
"We are ready to work with like-minded parties. We will work with them towards addressing peoples' problems. We will also have electoral alliances. But elections are far away," he told a media conference here ahead of the inauguration of party's first plenary after its formation two years ago.
He said Praja Rajyam will play the role of a vibrant opposition without being critical of the ruling party "unnecessarily".
"We will be like a swan. We would not try to belittle the ruling party just for the sake of it or to score political points," the actor-turned-politician said
