Sruti presents TRIMURTI featuring Bharatanatyam by Sonali Skandan, Odissi by Sonali Mishra and Kathak by Parul Shah. Trimurti is a collaboration of three of India's major classical dance styles: Bharatanatyam, Odissi and Kathak in an evening-length program that features trio and solo pieces. The distinctiveness of each style is highlighted as well as the underlying commonalities to all styles. Trimurti artists have all been born and raised in the US, but have completely immersed themselves in the Indian performing arts tradition. All have trained extensively in the US and in India, and have established themselves as solo artists in their respective traditions.
