Even before the draft for the Lokpal Bill is finalised by the committee, social activist Anna Hazare has decided to take up an all-India tour to thank people for their overwhelming support to his India Against Corruption campaign.
I am satisfied with the discussions held in the first meeting of the committee working on the Lokpal Bill draft. The next meeting is scheduled on May 2, he said at Ralegan Siddhi.
Hazare said he wanted to thank citizens for the support given to him. The all-India tour for thanking citizens would begin on May 3 and is likely to start from Uttar Pradesh, he said, adding that his associates would join him during the tour.
The activist said he wanted to reach as many people as possible and will travel by train instead of by air. I am hardly able to have conversation with public while travelling by air. I will travel only by general coach so that I can meet maximum number of common people in the train and railway stations during my journey, Hazare said.
