| threat is on the anvil for Digamber Kamat, who is grappling with a bid to unseat his Congress led government in Goa.
Goa's Tourism Minister Miccky Pachecho claimed that the NCP will withdraw support to the ruling Kamat government on Thursday.
A total of three ministers, including two belonging to NCP and one independent MLA, Vishwajeet Rane have resigned from the government. Congress and its allies are resultantly reduced to 19 members in the 40-member assembly.
One of the NCP ministers who resigned, said that the reason behind the resignation was the fact that the government was'nt running as per the wishes of the people of the state.
The Congress will be meeting on Wednesday evening to decide whether to adjourn the assembly sine die or not.
The crisis began earlier in the morning, when several MLAs threatened to pull out support.
Sources claim that independent MLA Vishwajeet Rane, who is the son of a former chief minister, is the person behind the revolt.
Meanwhile, the financial vote, which was slated for Wednesday, was put off for a day as the chief minister left to visit an accident site.
Union minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunshi is in Goa to resolve the issue. The Digambar Kamat government has been in power for only 7 months.
