| Two bomb blasts by suspected ULFA militants rocked lower Assam's Bongaigaon district on Saturday, a day after three serial blasts in the state during Independence day celebrations.
Official sources said the first explosion took place at 8.10 am near a police checkpoint in Swahidbedi area of Bongaigaon town.
The next explosion was five minutes later at Paglathan, the sources said. Police officers rushed to the sites.
On Friday, two persons were injured in three serial blasts near Parade Grounds in Chirang and Dhubri districts of Assam.
